SUBSCRIBE!: http://bit.ly/1G97GmA SHARE THIS VIDEO: https://youtu.be/Ax8HDSRc6Cs I really really didn’t think this was possible!! I first saw people panning for gold when I went bungee jumping at the Bridge To Nowhere in the San Gabriel Mountains just east of Azusa, CA. The trip was awesome but the one thing that stuck with me was the people panning for gold… and the how insane bungee jumping is. About a year later I wanted to go see if I could find gold my self. I found out there is certainly gold, and a lot of it too!!! This has turned into my new favorite hobby and I go out panning/sluicing for gold every week. I love it so much I started a new youtube channel all about finding gold and other Gems. Here is the link to the new channel called “ModernDayMiners” : https://www.youtube....
Good day on the river and good gold
Good gold today.
Prospecting and sampling a site for color in Angeles National Forest, 2/28/10. The idea is to hand pan for the presence of gold before you do any serious digging. 1. Find the gold line (inside curve of stream). 2. Locate a gravel deposit. 3. Dig a sample and classify (screen) to 1/4 inch. 4. Pan it and look for color. I'm at "Pry Bar Gulch" - a small canyon that is dry most of the year. I took advantage of a rainstorm the day before to pan while the small creek was running.
Just like Sean V Bradley says, Make your own weather. Don't just sit there and wait for opportunities and complain about the cloudy skies etc. You need to get up get out and do something! Life is what you make it. Loving life loving all love my job and love to help. Here's me going to see a VIP client of mine at his Restaurant hope he hooks me up with some grub lol. Finding gold and mining it in the mountains around Los Angeles can be a fun adventure. If you know where to go and how to get the gold you can be successful.
The Gold Rush may be over, but panning for gold is still very much alive in California. Deep in the Angeles National Forest, about an hour's drive from L.A., is a group of dedicated "gold diggers" who meticulously examine the San Gabriel River and pan for gold. Even though much of California's gold is gone, many Angelenos believe otherwise. Reporter Judy Muller interviews Bernie McGrath, a prospector who turned his life around after spending years hooked on heroin. McGrath is one of many regulars who work a stretch of the San Gabriel River, patiently gold prospecting with the hopes of finding flakes and nuggets of gold.
